1. Summary
GiftVerify Guide is an informational website. We do not host any forms that ask for gift card numbers, expiry dates, security codes, payment information, or login credentials. Every "Check Balance" link on this site opens a new tab on the card issuer's own website, where the issuer's privacy policy applies.
This Privacy Policy explains the limited information we do collect (mostly automatic web server logs and analytics if enabled) and how it is used.
2. Information we do not collect
- Gift card numbers, PINs, expiry dates, or security codes (CVV/CVC).
- Credit card or debit card details.
- Bank account or payment information.
- Government-issued identification numbers.
- Account passwords for any third-party service.
If you ever land on a page that appears to be part of GiftVerify Guide and asks you for any of the above, do not enter the information — and please contact us immediately so we can investigate.
3. Information we may collect automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs when pages are requested. These logs may include:
- Your IP address (used by the server to deliver the page back to you)
- The page URL you requested and the time of the request
- Your browser type and operating system (from the User-Agent header)
- The referring URL, if any
Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and abuse-prevention purposes and are typically retained for a short period before being deleted. We do not link this technical data to any personal identity.
4. Cookies
This website does not set any first-party cookies. We do not use tracking cookies, fingerprinting, or behavioural advertising on the site itself.
If we display advertising in the future (for example via Google AdSense or a comparable ad network), the ad network may set its own cookies subject to its own privacy policy. Where required by law, a cookie banner will be shown before any non-essential cookies are set.
5. Third-party links
Our site contains links to third-party websites — most importantly the official websites of gift card issuers and retailers (e.g. vanillagift.ca, walmart.ca, canadapost-postescanada.ca). When you click one of these links, you leave our site and any data you provide on the destination is governed by that company's privacy policy, not ours.

6. Children's privacy
This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
7. Your rights
Because we do not collect personal information, there is generally nothing for us to access, modify, or delete on your behalf. If you have specific questions about data the site may have logged in connection with your visits, contact us at privacy@itjoker.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Canadian residents have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Visitors from the European Economic Area have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data. We will honor valid requests under applicable law.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS (TLS) so traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit. We do not maintain a database of user accounts or sensitive information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least seven days.
